When charging my Range Rover, it makes a small humming sound. Dash board notice came on CHARGING SYSTEM FAULT. Dash board notice came on CHARGING. I am having the intermittent Charging System Fault pop up, and yesterday it finally started acting funny in other ways such as my suspension locking in normal mode and other lights coming up. I am assuming this is related to low battery but not sure. I have been having a few charging troubles with the old Land Rover, is it the battery? Is it the alternator? Turns out all that was wrong is a tinny little l. Dash board notice came on CHARGING SYSTEM FAULT. Land River Range Rover 2010. What should I do. Should I drive the vehicle? I am less than 1 mile from home. Mechanic's Assistant: How long has this been going on? Just came on this morning when I got to work and started it again later to go home. Tried several times and same message came up. Hey all you rangies, i've been a discoverer for over 10 years, but my wife is more interested in a range rover to dink around it. There's a 2006 RRS for around $4k near me, that is slammed down with a suspension fault. Assuming the whole system isn't worth repairing, and people still doing.

I can't find much info on this vehicle. I don't think they sold it here in the US. I believe it has a ZF mild-hybrid transmission with the hybrid battery mounted somewhere in the floor. P0B3C is indicating an issue with one of the voltage sensors for the high voltage battery. What are the vehicle symptoms? You indicated there is a 12 volt charging problem. I don't know this for a fact but the…
Ive seen something similar on a Jaguar F-type with auto start/stop, turned out that the relay switching center for the 2ndary battery, used to isolate voltage spike thru electrical components during a start event, had slightly loose cable connections. May have nothing to do with this vehicle, but I thought I'd throw it out there since I imagine this vehicle has auto start events and may have a…
Range Rover Charging System Fault
The secondary battery is for the start/stop system. It is located in the right rear of the load space area. See the attached file for a brief explanation of the system. It is possible you just have a failing secondary battery.
Hi, have you solve the problem? hi Shafraz ive sent you a whats app so please let me know
The air suspension system is comprised of air struts front and rear. The air pump is located beneath the carpeting in the cargo area. The system relies on height sensors at each strut to signal the electronic control unit for the suspension to level the vehicle as needed. If any of the sensors have failed, the system will not be able to measure the vehicle height accurately. Another possibility could be the air pump itself - a common failure with the Range Rover / Land Rover lineup. All the sensors may be functioning properly and the control unit sending signals to the air pump. However, if the air pump is bad, it will not pump sufficient air pressure to level the vehicle. There is also the possibility that there is an air leak somewhere in the system, whether at one of the struts, lines to the struts, or other areas. Have a certified technician inspect the system as soon as possible. While air compressor failure is common, have the system inspected before replacing any parts at random. Replacing any components before verifying they are at fault, will turn into a more expensive route to take.
